Principles
Rothmere Advisory was established in Monaco to serve principals who require judgment under uncertainty—not generic asset allocation templates. We believe durable wealth is less about chasing returns than about preserving decision rights: knowing what you own, why you own it, and how much risk the family is truly willing to bear across public and private markets.
Independence is operational, not rhetorical. The firm does not earn commissions or distribution fees from financial products. Engagements are structured as professional advisory relationships, with scope, deliverables, and fees agreed in advance. That alignment is essential when families evaluate illiquid opportunities, concentrated positions, or sensitive intergenerational trade-offs.
Mandate
We work exclusively with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family-office structures. We do not seek retail relationships. New mandates are accepted only where there is a clear fit: sufficient complexity to benefit from senior attention, mutual respect for process, and shared expectations around confidentiality and response times.
Monaco
The Principality is our base—not a marketing label. Monaco’s ecosystem of private banks, legal counsel, and institutional counterparties is part of our daily context. We routinely coordinate with advisers and custodians in other financial centres while anchoring governance and reporting design from our office on Boulevard de Suisse.
Leadership
Rothmere Advisory is governed by a senior partnership with long-standing experience in European private wealth and family-office advisory. Mandates are supported by a structured team model—strategic judgement, analytical rigour, and coordinated access to specialist counsel—so clients benefit from institutional discipline without the conflicts of a balance-sheet bank.
Partnership & governance
Strategic direction is set under an established partnership charter. Reporting, risk analytics, and board materials follow a common internal framework across mandates, ensuring consistency for families that operate across multiple jurisdictions and entities.
Alexandre Rothmere
Founding Partner
Alexandre established Rothmere Advisory in Monaco, building on more than fifteen years advising principals and family offices on capital allocation, risk governance, and the interface between private operating assets and liquid portfolios. He chairs the partnership’s investment and governance committee and oversees the firm’s advisory standards across European and international jurisdictions.
He is a proponent of custodian-agnostic advisory: strengthening the family’s ability to instruct banks and managers with clarity, rather than consolidating power in a single intermediary. Alexandre speaks English and French and works with clients and counsel in both languages.
Margot Saint-Clair
Managing Partner, Private & Illiquid Holdings
Margot advises families on concentration risk, liquidity ladders, and the governance of private equity, direct investments, and operating-company exposure. She joined Rothmere from a Geneva-based multi-family office where she led illiquid-asset oversight for European principals.
She works in English and French and serves on several of the partnership’s investment policy working groups.
Henrik van der Berg
Partner, International Governance & Structuring
Henrik coordinates cross-border mandates spanning trusts, holding companies, and regulatory overlays—translating family intent into documentation that trustees, counsel, and custodians can execute without ambiguity. His background includes senior roles in Amsterdam and London advising UHNW structures.
He works in English, Dutch, and French.
Elena Marchetti
Partner, Family Office Advisory
Elena supports single-family offices on committee design, manager oversight, and the interface between operating wealth and the family balance sheet. Previously she advised Italian and Swiss industrial families on generational transition and next-generation education within formal governance frameworks.
She works in English, Italian, and French.
James Pembroke
Partner, Capital Markets & Portfolio Architecture
James leads the partnership’s work on public-market allocation, currency and duration policy, and consolidated reporting design across custodians. He trained in London’s institutional allocator community before focusing exclusively on private clients and family-office structures.
He works in English and French.
Claire Hélène Aubry
Head of Reporting, Risk & Advisory Operations
Claire defines the firm’s reporting standards, risk analytics templates, and board-ready materials used across mandates. She ensures consistency between private-asset marks, liquidity stress views, and the narrative presented to family principals and their external auditors.
She works in English and French.
